CPD Activities

CPD Point Awarded

To mentor a student or internship administrator in administration work through an official learnership  5 points in six moths
Participate in the SACA learning program such as workshops with or without assessment activities 1 point per hour (excluding breaks)
Enrolling with Institution for Higher Learning in administration qualification 15 points after completing  qualification
Attendance at conventions and conferences 2 point per sitting
Attendance of SACA Annual General Meeting (AGM) 3 point per sitting
Online programme offered by SACA 1 point per hour
Speaker, Presenter and Facilitator on SACA events 1 point per hour
Writing an article on  the SACA journal 30 point per article
Reading the SACA journal or magazine related to the  profession 10 point per feedback received
To serve on the SACA’s Committees 1 point per hour
Viewing educational video, audio tapes including radio and Television programme related to the profession 10 point per feedback received
Internet learning programme or online courses related to the profession 1 point per hour ( formal or informal assessment)


Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is a process of lifelong learning whereby an individual systematically engages in activities that maintain abilities, skills and knowledge required for a professional practice. Continuous Professional Development refers to activities that develop and maintain capability to enable members to perform competently within their professional environment.

The South African Council for Administrators is a professional body has obligation to foster a commitment to lifelong learning and development amongst its members being a key component of professionalism. It is also required to monitor and enforce standards that ensure the continuous development and maintenance of professional competence of its members.
